HILKKA LOUHIVUORI

Hilkka Louhivuori (1991) is a versatile singer, pianist and composer. She grew up in a big musical family in Jyväskylä, Central Finland. She has worked with several groups from a cappella ensembles, funk/rnb bands, folk groups and string ensembles to big bands. She has a strong background as a jazz pianist but nowadays her focus is as much in vocals. Hilkka finished her studies in rhythmic composition (MMus) in The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark in June 2020. She has also graduated as a singing teacher (BMus) from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in 2017.

Hilkka has worked both as a pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger in Finnish big bands, such as Jyväskylä Big Band and Sointi Jazz Orchestra.

In 2019 Hilkka released her debut album with her band UNYA, in which she's the lead singer, keyboardist and songwriter. Her music collects elements from electronic music, jazz, trip hop and pop.
